These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kuro desktop application and the website at kuro.day (together, the "Service"), operated by Kuro ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
You agree not to:
Kuro is local-first: the content you add is stored on your own device. You retain all rights to your content. You are solely responsible for it, including keeping your own backups. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Kuro offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider, Polar, on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change plan pricing or features, with notice for material changes.
The "Fill with AI" feature generates suggestions using a third-party AI provider. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete — you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it. AI usage may be subject to plan limits.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or others. You can delete your account from within the app (Settings → Account).
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for loss of locally stored content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
